STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATORS

We're growing and are looking for experienced Stainless Steel Fabricators.

Abilities and qualifications:
• 5 years of experience with stainless steel
• Read and interpret shop drawings
• Sheet metal layouts, welding, polishing and installation experience
• Plan and execute custom projects from start to finish including fabrication and installation
• Desire to produce a high quality product
• Proven track record of success  
• Work flexible hours when projects call for it
• TIG welding and experience fabricating architectural metal work are advantages
• Valid driver´s license with good driving record and the use of a personal vehicle to/from job site when required
• Valid permit to work in Canada

This is a full time position.


JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Working in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, the Junior Project Manager will assist in a variety of capacities on projects currently underway.  The right candidate is a hard working individual who is driven and eager to progress their career through a junior-level position. They are responsible for in-office support as well as being on-site. This person can work well independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
• Assist the Senior Project Manager with various administrative duties
• Prepare or assist in development of detailed project documents
• Read and interpret project drawings and work with drafting to facilitate drawing development
• Work with Production to coordinate fabrication and installation of jobs
• Monitor job schedule, job costs and product/installation quality throughout the project
• Assist with scheduling
• Keep the Project Manager and/or client apprised of job progress and issues requiring client input
• Prepare job estimates and bid/tender documents
• Manage the change order process
• Follow all documented quality processes
• Ensure projects are in compliance with applicable building codes
• Work within the company´s health and safety program
• Maintain strategic relationships with key clients, vendors, and other third parties
• Liaise with sub trades
• Other duties as required

Your Experience and Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in project management as asset but not necessary
• Previous work experience helpful but not necessary

DRAFTER/DESIGNER

We are looking for a passionate Drafter/Designer to join our team.

The basic function is to interpret client drawings, confirm accuracy, design and prepare submittal drawings and production packages meeting the client´s requirements, the needs of the Project Managers and the fabrication department.

Responsibilities
• Create submittal drawings and detailed production packages from concept to completion suitable for fabrication, complete with material lists and weld detail ensuring completeness, accuracy, constructability, and conformity with company standards and building codes
• Understand and interpret architectural drawings and structural design concepts
• Participate in internal pre-bid meetings to develop a  “game plan” for best fabrication approach
• Assist with material takeoffs for bidding and estimating purposes
• Participate in project  hand-off meetings
• Complete field measurements and/or visually confirm project site as required
• Assist with sourcing, pricing and ordering materials/hardware
 
Your Experience and Qualifications
• Post-secondary education with emphasis in design and drafting technology.
• Fluent with Solidworks 3D modeling software, Autocad experience an asset.
• Several years´ work experience in metal fabrication or related business. Experience in stainless steel and light structural steel fabrication specializing in stairways, counter tops, railings, decorative interior/exterior cladding would be assets.

GENERAL SHOP HELPER/DRIVER

This job entails a variety of tasks both in the shop and on commercial and residential job sites. This is an entry level position.

Some of these tasks include but are not limited to:
• Driving company vehicles (including a cube van, cargo vans and pick-up trucks)
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Transporting raw materials and finished metal products
• Pick-up/delivery of product
• Use of hand tools to assist in fabricating metal products
• Assisting others in the shop or on the job site as required
• Cleaning work areas and equipment

Must:
• hold a current valid driver´s license with a clean driver´s abstract
• be physically able to perform duties
• have access to a personal vehicle
• work as a team
• be willing to work day/evening/weekend shift as required

Previous shop experience and/or an interest in the sheet metal trade are assets.
