Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the basic function of the Project Manager is to be responsible for meeting mutually-established sales goals and to provide project leadership through the entire life of a project - from sales through to estimating, drafting, operations and the billing process.

Your Challenges
• Prepare job estimates and bid/tender documents
• Work with drafting to facilitate drawing development
• Work with Production to coordinate fabrication and installation of jobs
• Monitor job schedule, job costs and product/installation quality throughout the project
• Keep the client apprised of job progress and issues requiring client input
• Assure progress and final billings are timely and accurate
• Manage the change order process
• Generate new leads and convert leads into sales
• Assist with business development
• Develop individual annual revenue forecasts
• Maintain strategic relationships with key clients, vendors, and other third parties
• Ensure projects are in compliance with applicable building codes
• Work within the company´s health and safety program

Your Experience and Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in project management, drafting, technical engineering or similar
• Ten years in project management, estimating, business development, and/or sales in metal fabrication or construction industry preferably with a $5M plus revenue company
• CWB Supervisory Certification, an asset

This is a term position (6 months) located on a commercial construction job site in Edmonton. Relocation is the candidate´s responsibility.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the basic function of the Site Supervisor is to manage the day-to-day operation of the job site from launch through completion, directing and monitoring the progress of job site staff, subcontractors, and keeping the project on schedule. The Site Supervisor is to complete projects with a high standard of quality, safety, on budget, and on time.

• Leads, directs, coordinates, and controls the installation function at the job site, including material coordination, assuring the ´right people are assigned to the right jobs´.
• Directs, trains and supervises field personnel.
• Plans, coordinates and monitors the daily scheduling of tasks for the job site taking action to bring any variances in line.
• Accountable throughout the course of construction including daily progress and construction schedule.
• Manages and directs job site construction activities including sub-contractors, rental equipment, and material.
• Assures Project Manager and team members are kept apprised of the ongoing status of the job with accurate and timely information and reports.
• As required, assists with site measure and installation of product.
• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following the company´s health and safety program, ensuring staff is competent and trained, enforcing standards and procedures, complying with OH&S regulations and executing all required safety administration.
• Assures company quality standards are consistently met and procedures followed.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Maintains excellent relationships with general contractor, client, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and/or shop drawings including work specifications and detailing information.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager, manages the change order process to assure changes to jobs are timely, accurate and properly executed to the benefit of both the client and the company.  
• Operates vehicle, if required.
• Other duties and projects as may be assigned by the supervisor or are deemed to be in the best interest of the business.

Your Experience and Qualifications
• 3-5 years´ experience working on a commercial construction job site
• Metal working experience, an asset
